I am beyond honored to be attending today's press briefing at the U.N. for World Autism Awareness Day. I was invited by the Golden Hat Foundation (see my earlier post today). World-renowned experts on autism will be addressing a number of issues ranging from diagnosis to treatment to causes, and I'm certain there will be much discussion about last week's newly released autism statistics from the CDC, stating that 1 in 88 U.S. children are now diagnosd with an autism spectrum disorder. I will be tweeting live from the event so if this topic interests you, be sure to follow me on Twitter around 3pm today. An action tip: Do you know a family affected by autism? Give them an extra hug or pat on the back today.
