There are a couple of new baby gear products out now that have impressed me. One is the Baby Giraffe. Basically, it's a plush, giraffe-patterned "spine" that bends as you need it to use on a stroller, crib, or playmat. It attaches easily to almost anything (and detaches easily too with a quick release clip). So you get to keep a hand (or two) free...which is a minor miracle when you have a newborn (and especially if you are tending to an older sibling, too).
