Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy November 1st. I hope you all had a colorful and fun weekend- we sure did. Before I share a few pieces of news with you, as promised, here are some snapshots from yesterday's birthday/Halloween festivities:

I loved, loved, loved my birthday cake from Glaser's Bake Shop. They certainly did a better job with spelling than wherever I got my cake from two years ago.

For the eighth year in a row, we went trick-or-treating on the beautiful, tree-lined East 78th Street on the Upper East Side. Unfortunately, word has definitely gotten out about the fabulously decorated homes on this street (which tend to be generous with their candy offerings). It was a bit too crowded this year and that can be tough for my kids.

Here is a fantastic mini-garden outside of an apartment building. Never seen such an artistic autumnal display before.

And, here are my little munchkins (aka Plex and Sleeping Beauty) going trick-or-treating. Can you believe that S. abhors sweets? He generously gave almost everything to his sister. She was thrilled. I stole a Twix or two.

Next up today: something I am very proud of. Check back soon.
