I have tons of photos to share from last week's International Toy Fair, but first I just want to share 5 five favorite finds. They are not necessarily the largest or flashiest toys; they're simply those that I loved the most. In no particular order:
Moover Danish-Style Sturdy Wooden Doll Pram ($110 at Amazon.com). Newly imported from Denmark by Haba Toys, this pram falls into the "too cute" category. Plus the eco-friendly European materials and styling make it extra attractive. A great toddler birthday gift.
Hape Toys Bamboo Lifestyle Living Room (on sale for $44.99, regularly $49.99 at Moolka). Hape knows how to design dollhouse furniture--I wish I had a living room like this. Coordinates with Bamboo Sunshine Dollhouse).
Easy Daysies Magnetic Schedules for Kids. OK, so it's not really a toy. But these child-friendly schedules--designed by a Canadian mom/educator--are among the best I've ever used. R. put a starter kit ($25.99) together for her little brother and it is working well so far! Great product, especially for kids with special needs.
Olympic Athletes by Playmobil (about $4.99 each at Playmobil). Released to coincide with the 2012 London games, these Olympians are part of a wonderful array of toy athletes.
Hape Little Friends Rattle ($9.95 at Zuka Baby). Again, I'm quite impressed with the quality and styling of Hape Toys, plus its commitment to safety (only water-based inks are used and all products are tested against the strictest European safety standards). This adorable rattle is safe and fun for Baby, virtually indestructible, and makes a perfect add-on baby gift.
Stay tuned for more of my picks from the 2012 Toy Fair....
