We are spending the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and the kids got treated to some early Hanukkah toy shopping. At Meyers Toys, a nearby mom-and-pop store in business for nearly a century, 5-year-old S.. picked out this Ideal Sure Shot Hockey Game and even suggested that his sister could play it with him (we don't hear this often). We have already spent hours playing this tabletop game which basically is like a foosball-style version of an ice hockey game. The quality of the plastic set isn't the greatest, but so far it wins points in my book for being something that both kids enjoy playing--and even I do, too. You can buy it for $24.99 at Sears.
