Lands' End Women's Down Parka (Under $75 Today!)

I place orders regularly from Lands' End for everything from my daughter's school uniforms to my kids' snowgear to my own bath towels. It really is one of my "go-to" sites, especially for basics. While my kids have worn Lands' End outerwear for years now (we especially like the fleece hoodies and packable rain jackets), I haven't really tried it before. So I was happy to be offered the chance to try out at Lands' End Women’s Diamond Down Parka, plus the ThermaCheck 100 fleece hat ($14.50) and gloves ($14.50). I actually have not owned many real down parkas before, and now I see the difference. I wore the coat from beginning-to-end on a recent cold day, and I loved it. I got it in black, of course (hey, I'm a New Yorker). The 600-fill power down is toasty warm, and the shell is relatively soft (unlike stiffer down coats). The shaped design is flattering with princess seams, a snap front with hidden zipper, and a not-too-tight tie belt. I also like the removable faux fur hood, plus the fact that everything is machine washable. And while I wasn't as enthusiastic about the fleece hat and gloves, I think that was just a matter of personal preference--I prefer washable chenille for my own cold weather accessories rather than fleece. I still heartily endorse Lands' End fleece accessories for kids, though.

The Lands' End Women’s Diamond Down Parka is currently on sale for $109.99 (regularly $149.50) in seven colors, in women's sizes XS-XL. Plus, since today is the last day of the Lands' End Friends + Family promotion, you'll get an additional 25% off your order with code FAMILYSAVE25 and pin: 1142. So you'll get a high-quality down coat for less than $75 if you buy it today.

I received a sample coat from Lands End, but was not compensated for this post. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
