I attended a wonderful event recently for Simon & Schuster books, hosted by a NYC group called Buzzing Bloggers. I got to preview dozens of fantastic new children's titles (and even some grown-up books for moms, too) and I'll be sharing my favorites with you over the next several weeks as you start your holiday shopping. I don't know about you but I love to give books as birthday gifts and holiday gifts. But, first, a blast from the past. Simon & Schuster is the publisher of Judy Blume's famed teen novel Forever . . .. When I read this book, though, the cover was not this suggestive--I think it showed a teenage girl alone, "pondering" her decisions instead! Of course, that was somewhere around 1981, when I was 9 years old. Uh oh, does this mean my 'tween daughter will read this book soon? I shudder to think.
