5 Holiday Card Trends (and 25% off at Tiny Prints)

Who has already ordered their holiday cards? I am making my final picks. As a stationery lover and photographer, I actually adore the search for the perfect holiday card (yes, I know it sounds crazy). To kick off the 2011 holiday season, I'm going to share 5 of my favorite trends and finds from Tiny Prints. I've chosen Tiny Prints for several reasons:

1) The on-trend designs get better and better every year--including optional rounded corners and printed backers this year.
2) Lots of designs are available in different formats (flat, folded, square, etc.) as well as different color palettes.
3) It is easy to preview your design after choosing your own photo layout, fonts, colors, etc.
4) It is easy (and affordable) to buy coordinating address labels.
5) I have an awesome coupon code to share with you at the end of the post, so you'll save 25% off your order (and if you're buying, say, 50 cards at $1.50 each, this will save you a ton).

Here are some of my favorite designs (I'm considering one of these for my own family card this year). The prices vary between about $1 and $2 per card (before the coupon code at the end of the post), depending how many you order:

Fresh Collage. A thoughtfully-designed collage card is always a hit. My tip: limit pictures to four or five, maximum. Any more looks too cluttered and lessens the impact of individual photos.

Behind the Scenes. A square card always stands out, and turqouise and red is a fresh color combo for Christmas. Note that you'll need additional postage, though.

Edgy Name. This card combines two of my favorite trends--"photo-focused" cards that bleed your photo all the way to the edge, increasing its impact, and the visual appeal of large/bold typography.

Merry Everything. No matter what your family or friends celebrate--Christmas, Chanukkah, Kwanza, or Diwali--this card covers them all. You'll see lots of "Happy Everything" cards this year, I'm sure!

Our Favorite Things. A sweet way to share some of 2011's favorite memories without going overboard (not the kind of mom who wants to write a long holiday letter?), this card gives you a chance to share photos and captions for three favorite events or locations.
