Bugging Out
I first saw Hexbug's new Hexbug Larva at last February's International Toy Fair, and as the mother of a 'tween girl who loves all things creepy, I was impressed. The Larva is a robotic toy that senses objects around it and changes direction in response to those objects. And the winding path and caterpillar-like shape of this particular breed of Hexbug makes it quite a bit creepier than the original Hexbugs. Today only at the Hexbug website you can grab the Larva for 50% off ($7.50 instead of $15). If you've got a serious bug-lover on your gift list, maybe go for the doesn't-get-creepier Assorted Bug Family Bundle (on sale for $80 with free shipping).
