We were very lucky here in Manhattan--it was not nearly as bad as anticipated. Just a lot of rain and wind overnight. My apartment is dry, fully powered, and now contains many extra flashlights, batteries, bottles of water, etc. Perhaps S's placement of Spiderman on the balcony door to "protect" us really worked (yes, I brought the balcony chairs indoors before the storm started). I know many others were not so lucky. Good luck getting everything returned to normal...we are thinking of you.
