Short Pajamas for Scorching Nights

The weather is brutally hot in New York City right now, and even with air conditioning my kids' rooms feel warm. At Gymboree I picked up new "shortie pajamas" for each of them--I left these on their beds as a surprise after they shower tonight. Shown above: "Let's Stick Together" Girls' Gymmies (on sale for $15.99; sizes 6-12mos to 12 years) and "Surf Monkey" Boys' Gymmies (on sale for $15.99; sizes 6-12mos to 10 years). Stay cool everyone!

p.s. Have you seen Gymboree's new Fall lines? I'm not crazy about the designs, or the newly raised prices (girls' jeans, for example, now cost a very un-Gymboree $40!).

  1. I think Gymboree has a lot of sales now, more than they used to, and they jack up the "regular" prices to account for those. $40 is ridiculous for Gymboree jeans!

The little boy robot/dino line for fall is okay cute. The raccoons? Meh.

I need PJs for larger 7 year old boys. I have a 55" tall, 90 pound 7 year old. Too young for nothing, too big for "snausages" PJs from Gymbo or Gap. Ideas?

  2. Try Lands End, LLBean, and even Kohls.com. My son (not yet 5) is slim but very tall and already needs size 7 PJs. I am not looking forward to him outgrowing brands like Gymboree either!
