Good news for bargain-hunters on Manhattan's Upper East Side (yes, we do exist). TJ Maxx is opening tomorrow, October 24th, at last in the former Conran Shop space underneath the 59th Street Bridge, just off 1st Avenue. This is the fourth Manhattan location for T.J. Maxx, and paired with the Bed Bath and Beyond store just up the block, it makes for some pretty good shopping on that stretch of First Avenue.
