Pony Up

Speaking of good causes, I apologize that we are already well into October and this is my first "pink" post. If you follow the blogosphere, you've probably read the debate about "pink products" and which ones are actually valuable...i.e. do they actually help the cause, or is it all just marketing hype? So I have been very careful about what to post here. One line of "pink products" that I trust is Ralph Lauren's "Pink Pony" collection which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Pink Pony is dedicated to bringing early diagnosis, education, treatment and research for breast cancer particularly to medically underserved communities; ten percent of the proceeds of Pink Pony products go towards this cause. I like the personalized apparel, especially the stretch polos for women ($125) and girls (starting at $49.50). Check them all out here. Also, if you'd like to contribute directly to breast cancer research and treatment, I'd suggest making a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
