The Little Mermaid on Third Avenue

R. wore her Halloween costume one week early to a party we attended for YAI (the agency that provided Early Intervention services for both of my kids). This being New York City, I thought no one would bat an eye at a backpack-wearing Ariel one week before Halloween, but it turns out she attracted a lot of attention. Several tourists even took her photo (including one on the bus...after all, it's not every day you see a mermaid riding the Lexington Avenue local). The one person she would not let photograph her, of course, was me!
