Kids Say the Darndest Things

On morning recently, my five-year-old daughter emerged from her bedroom wearing the skimpiest part of her Cinderella costume, high heeled shoes, and bright red lipstick, and then asked totally seriously, "Mommy, how do you like my new profession?" I burst out laughing (she didn't get the joke, fortunately) and promptly wrote a note to myself on a Post-It to record this quote. Of course, I subsequently lost the Post-It.
